Borger-Cordmark Pottery
1100 to 1450 A.D.

This was found in Red Deer Creek, Roberts County near Miami, Texas.
The pot was found imbedded in charcoal with the spoon/dig stick and other bones inside. This is the only one known to be found complete and with no cracks.

Found by Don & Claude Chisum

On loan to Roberts County Museum by Claude Chism 6/6/97.

The "design" was formed by cords being pounded into the pot with a rib bone.

The cords were made from local yucca plants and clay.
