Carol Smith
Waggoner Highfield
PERRYTON - Carol Smith Waggoner Highfield, 73, died
Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in 13th and
Jefferson Church of Christ with Mikel Peterson
officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by
Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Highfield was born Oct. 16, 1929, in Pampa. She was
an active member of 13th and Jefferson Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Michael Waggoner of Clovis,
N.M.; a daughter, Sherri Franklin of Enid, Okla.; a
brother, Virgil Smith of Oklahoma City; three sisters,
Lucille Rebman of Pryor, Okla., and Thelma Messer and
Gladys Wilson, both of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren;
and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to American Parkinson
Disease Association, 1250 Highland Blvd., Suite 48,
Staten Island, NY 10305-1944; or to Church of Christ,
P.O. Box 928, Perryton, TX 79070.

Amparo Roybal
PERRYTON- Amparo Roybal, 53, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in Parish Hall Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church. Services will be at 3 p.m.
Friday in the church with Monsignor Joe Bixenman
officiating. Burial will be in Heart Cemetery by Boxwell
Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Roybal was born Oct. 17, 1949, in Ocampo, Guanajuato,
Mexico. He was an employee of Texas Farm in production.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Roybal and Joe Roybal,
both of Perryton; two daughters, Dalia Roybal and Amparo
Mandujano, both of Perryton; and a brother, Raul Gomez of
Mexico.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

L. Leroy Rising
PERRYTON - L. Leroy Rising, 85, died Monday, Sept. 8,
2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ochiltree
Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Knighton officiating.
Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers
Funeral Home.
Mr. Rising worked for Texaco for 40 years and was an
engineer. He was a member of First Christian Church of
Perryton.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Rising of Perryton; a
daughter, Judith Schwalk of Cedar Creek; and three
grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Ochiltree Hospice
Volunteers, 3101 Garrett Drive, Perryton, TX 79070.

Melton Lennon Hill
PERRYTON - Melton Lennon Hill, 70, died Saturday, Sept.
6, 2003.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Full Gospel
Church in Perryton. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery
by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Hill was born Oct. 10, 1932, on the family farm south
of Perryton. He had lived on the farm all of his life
with the exception of his tour of duty in the Air Force
from 1953 to 1957. He was in the Air Force Reserve until
1962. He was engaged in farming and ranching. He was a
member of the Church of Christ.
Melton always loved hunting, shooting and flying. He was
known to be a craftsman who enjoyed working in his shop
and completing projects to perfection.
After his marriage to Juanita Spinden on Perryton in
1987, he gained three stepchildren; six
stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam K. and
Jewell Hill; a sister, Avanelle Word of Fort Worth; and a
grandson.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Shelley K. Hill
of Amarillo and Darrell L. Hill of Joplin, Mo.; three
children from a previous marriage, Shannon Morton of
Houston, Sam Hill of Dallas and Soraya Johnson of Lufkin;
three stepchildren, Pam Wain and Tina Spinden, both of
Perryton, and Jim Spinden of Dallas; eight grandchildren;
six stepgrandchildren; a great-grandson; two step
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to OGH Hospice
Volunteers; American Cancer Society; or a favorite
charity.

Jesus Sandoval
PERRYTON - Jesus Sandoval, 68, died Saturday, Sept. 20,
2003.
Mass will be at 1 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church with Monsignor Joe Bixenman officiating.
Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers
Funeral Home.
Mr. Sandoval was born in Mexico. He had lived in Perryton
for seven years.
Survivors include his wife, Otilia; a son, Jesus Jr. of
Altus, Okla.; a brother, Manuel Sandoval of Mexico; two
sisters, Cruz Orteja and Cenano Villalobos, both of
Mexico; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
