Ruby Ruth Kelly
Brown
PERRYTON - Ruby Ruth Kelly Brown, 82, died Friday, May
30, 2003, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United
Methodist Church of Perryton with the Rev. Greg Kennedy
officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by
Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. She was a member of First
United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for 3-
and 4-year olds for 25 years. She graduated from Spearman
High School in 1939. She married H.C. "Buster"
Brown on Aug. 24, 1941, in Estelline. She loved her
children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oran and
Florence "Elmo" Kelly; and her husband in 1991.
Survivors include a son, Kelly Brown of Perryton; a
daughter, Barbara Palmer of Amarillo; a brother, Howard
D. Kelly of Austin; a sister, Colleen Yeary of Perryton;
seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be to Kids Inc., 2201 E.
27th Ave., Amarillo, TX 79103; or Perryton Activity
Center, P.O. Box 829, Perryton, TX 79070.

Mary Jayne Luthi
PERRYTON - Mary Jayne Luthi, 79, died Tuesday, June 3,
2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United
Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Kennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Luthi was a homemaker. She was a member of First
United Methodist Church of Perryton.
Survivors include her husband, Johnie; three sons, Bobbie
Luthi of Hooker, Okla., Dannie Luthi of Hazelton, Kan.,
and Tommie Luthi of Raton, N.M.; two daughters, Bettie
Hassell of Canyon and Barbara Maxwell of Amarillo; a
sister, Marcellia Holt of Amarillo; nine grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Ochiltree Hospice
Volunteers, 3101 Garrett Drive, Perryton, TX 79070; or to
Ochiltree Cemetery, 511 N. Main, Perryton, TX 79070.

Bennie Wayne Smith
PERRYTON - Bennie Wayne Smith, 83, died Friday, June 13,
2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church
of McLean with the Rev. Wayne Moore, pastor of Clearlake
Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview
Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of
Pampa.
Mrs. Smith was born June 1, 1919, in Erath County. She
married Boyd B. Smith on Dec. 24, 1935, near Alanreed. He
preceded her in death on May 1, 1982. She had lived in De
Soto for several years where she was a member of a
quilting club. She had been a resident of Lefors and
McLean for many years before moving to Perryton in 1998.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by a brother, George Williams.
Survivors include two sons, James B. Smith and wife,
Harlene, of Perryton and Fred B. Smith and wife, Pam, of
Avon, Ind.; three sisters, Jane Herndon of McLean and
Faye Flynn and Sue Green, both of Amarillo; six
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

Bernardo Pina Sr.
PERRYTON - Bernardo Pina Sr., 73, died Tuesday, June 17,
2003.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Estrada Building.
Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers
Funeral Home.
Mr. Pina was a member of the Victory Family Church in
Perryton. He was a laborer for Montfort Packing.
Survivors include his wife, Guillermina; five daughters,
Concha Jimenez of Mexico, Elva Guerrero of Arizona, Ana
Griego of Perryton, Maria Pina and Oralia Rodriguez, both
of Wichita, Kan.; four sons, Pedro Pina of Tulsa, Okla.,
Hurgerto Pina and Ernesto Pina, both of Perryton, and
Bernardo Pina of El Paso; 29 grandchildren; and 26
great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

Mary Elizabeth
Sammons Wall
PERRYTON - Mary Elizabeth Sammons Wall, 89, died
Wednesday, June 18, 2003.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist
Church with the Rev. Geary Martin and the Rev. Richard
Laverty officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery
by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wall was a nurse from 1940 to 1972 at Sanford
Hospital and Ochiltree General. Her hobbies were
gardening, yard work and flowers.
Survivors include two sons, Arvel Wall of Amarillo and
Jess Wall of Perryton; two daughters, Len Roberson of
Belton and Beckie Rundle of Deer Park; a sister, Rebecca
Daniell of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Boys Ranch/Girls
Town, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174; or to the Museum
of the Plains, 1200 N. Main St., Perryton, TX 79070.

Lila Barclay
PERRYTON - Lila Barclay, 78, died Friday, June 20, 2003.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Jefferson Street
Church of Christ with Terry Danley and Billie McCallie
officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by
Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barclay was a homemaker and member of the Church of
Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy W.B.
Barclay; a son, Tommy Barclay; her parents, Earl and
Matilda James; a sister, Leta Belt; and a grandson, Andy
James Barclay.
Survivors include six children, Troy and LaDonna Barclay,
Carolyn and Gary Newcomb, Danny Barclay and Kathy and
Dennis Williams, all of Perryton, Sandra and Don Hooper
of Sugarland and Susan and Ed Hopkins of Dalhart; a
daughter-in-law, Kay Barclay;
a brother, Robert James of Smithland, Iowa; three
sisters, Elva Uhl and Darlene Woodward, both of Onawa,
Iowa, and Wanda Heisler of Cherokee, Iowa;
26 grandchildren, Kelly Barclay, Staci and Monty Scott,

Ken Hunter
PERRYTON - Ken Hunter, 65, died Sunday, June 22, 2003.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Victory Family
Church with the Rev. Marlon Sparks officiating. Burial
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Crestview Memorial Park in
Wichita Falls. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers
Funeral Home.
Mr. Hunter was a member of Victory Family Church. He was
district manager for Dresser Oil Tools for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; a son, Mike Hunter and
wife, Stacey, of Burkburnett; a daughter, Pam Givens and
husband, Jimmy, of Wichita Falls; a sister, Linda
Williamson of Pampa; a brother, Dan Hunter of California;
five grandchildren, Casey Hunter, Chris Longley, Justin
Longley, Jacob Organ and Nicholas Organ; and four
great-grandchildren, Kyle Givens, Christina Givens,
Alexus Longley and Victoria Longley.

Marie Lambert
PERRYTON - Marie Lambert, 66, died Wednesday, June 25,
2003, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Full Gospel Church
with the Rev. Michael Waterbury officiating. Burial will
be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Lambert was a member of Full Gospel Church. She
graduated from Perryton High School in 1957.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Johnson of
Perryton; a son, Allen Wawak of Elgin, Okla.; two
brothers, Everett Gipson and Jack Gipson, both of
Perryton; two sisters, Beulah Stumpf and Faye Gipson,
both of Perryton; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer
Society, 2405 Utica Lane, Perryton, TX 79070; or a
favorite charity.
