Genevieve Rupprecht

FOLLETT - Genevieve Rupprecht, 94, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Carter officiating. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery in Laverne, Okla., by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home of Laverne.

Mrs. Rupprecht was born Nov. 16, 1908, in Logan, Okla., to Benjamin Earl and Edna Arrah Viers Hood. She was a former resident of Laverne.

Survivors include two sons, Deryl Wieser of Hobbs, N.M., and Gary Wieser of Salt Lake City; a sister, Berdine Nasland of Chico, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church of Follett or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in care of Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848.

Earl Charles Bedel

FOLLETT - Earl Charles Bedel, 72, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Follett High School Auditorium with Mike Nixon, minister, and Mike Bruce, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home.

Mr. Bedel was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Beaver County, Okla. He married Vona Mae Ward on June 4, 1950.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Bedell of Laverne, Okla., and Gary Bedell of Follett; two daughters, Denise Laubham of Follett and Dorice Immel of Higgins; a sister, Leona Oakley of Laverne; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.

Juanita Cates

BOOKER - Juanita Cates, 85, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Heart Cemetery by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service.
Mrs. Cates was born on March 21, 1918, to James and Mary (Haggard) Watson. On Aug. 21, 1938, she married Denzil Cates at Arnett.

Survivors include two sons, Odell Cates of Booker and Doyle Cates of Buffalo; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orville Watson of Liberal, Kan. and Wilford Watson of Lubbock; two sisters, Geraldine Fry of Oklahoma City and Eula Jean Teague of Borger; and other relatives and friends.
