Robert H. Novak
Spearman - Robert H, Novak, 80, died Monday, April 26, 2004.
Services will be at 2p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist
Church with the Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be in
Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Novak was born on July 19, 1923 in Yukon,Okla. He had
lived in the area since 1930, moving from Yukon, he married
Margaret Hull on June 9, 1943 in Spearman. He served in the US
Navy in the Pacific during WWII. He was a farmer.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Spearman. He was past president of Hansford County Farm Bureau
Board, was past president and served on the Palo Duro River
Authority from 1976-2002 and served on the Hansford Soil amd
Water Conservation District board from 1973-2002. He was a member
of Hansford Masonic Lodge No. 1040 AF & AM.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three daughters,
Sharon David of Medina, Mary Ellen Sager of Balko,OK., and
Patricia Gabriel of Crown Point, IN.; a sister, Louise turner of
Quanah;13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lillie (Shulda)
Novak; and a son Bob Novak.
The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice, 707
S. Roland St. Spearman,Tx.,79081; or First United Methodist
Church, P.O. Box 547, Spearman, Tx 79081.
