JoAnne Harvey
SKELLYTOWN - JoAnne Harvey, 64, died Tuesday, July 29,
2003.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in
Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Palmer, pastor
of Carpenter's House Church of Pampa, officiating.
Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Harvey was born Oct. 13, 1938, in Crescent, Okla.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her stepmother, Agnes Stover of Borger;
a son, Billy Jack Annis of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepson,
Larry Jack Toney of Enid, Okla.; six daughters, Debra
Short and April Annis, both of Borger, Rachel Brown of
Maple Hill, N.C., Tabitha Winkler and Brenda Newman, both
of Pampa, and Renee Woods of Skellytown; two
stepdaughters, Brenda Phares of Enid and Delores Price of
Borger; three brothers, Clifford Stover of Lufkin, and
Eddie Enochs and Steven Stover, both of Borger; two
sisters, Linda Swafford of Temple, Ga., and Ginger
Jameson of Borger; 24 grandchildren; and 20
great-grandchildren.

Gary Friemel
GROOM - Gary Friemel, 46, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, in
Alaska.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Immaculate Heart
of Mary church in Groom. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday
in the church with the Rev. Pat Carathers of St.
Hyacinth's in Amarillo as celebrant. Burial will be in
St. Mary's Cemetery in Groom by Schooler Funeral Home of
Amarillo, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mr. Friemel was raised near Hereford, and moved to Groom
where he graduated high school in 1975. He married Julie
Ledwig in Groom on Nov. 20, 1976. His passion was
farming, which he did the majority of his life.
He was the secretary for Top of Texas Gin Growers Board.
He was also an active member of the community, serving on
the school board for many years, the GEDC (Groom Economic
Development Committee), and was a member of Immaculate
Heart of Mary Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melanie
Friemel of Frisco and Jessica Friemel of Groom; a son,
Trevor Friemel of Groom; a granddaughter, Madison Friemel
of Groom; two sisters, Lynette Lanier of Key West, Fla.,
and Michelle Britten of Oklahoma City; a brother, Mike
Friemel of Groom; his parents, Roman Friemel of Amarillo
and Neysa Friemel of Groom; and his grandmother,
Josephine Friemel of Canyon.
The family suggests memorials be to MD Anderson Cancer
Center in Houston; or Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer
Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.

Don S. Hubbard
PANHANDLE - Don S. Hubbard, 69, died Thursday, Aug. 7,
2003, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in First Christian
Church with Jim Howard of Amarillo officiating. Burial
will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral
Directors.
Mr. Hubbard was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Panhandle. He was
a state trooper at Dumas from 1956 to 1960, and a senior
staff tax agent for Gulf Oil.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; a son, Kent Hubbard
of Tomball; a daughter, Kathy Knight of Fallon, Nev.; two
sisters, Darlene Sparks of Wichita Falls and Mary Lee
Wersonick of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.

Almeda Crist
PANHANDLE - Almeda Crist, 81, died Tuesday, Aug. 19,
2003.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist
Church in Panhandle with Mark Roberts and Crist Roberts
officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by
Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Crist was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Shamrock, Okla. She
had been a Panhandle resident since 1936.
Survivors include a son, Gene Crist of Cumbie; two
daughters, Bertha Mae Owens of San Antonio and Mary Alice
Benton of Denton; three sisters, Eva Thorp of Panhandle,
Laura Mae Brown of Nicoma, Okla., and Marcela Ninemire of
Eunice, La.; eight grandchildren; and a host of
great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church
in Panhandle.

Faye Wilcoxson
Allen
PANHANDLE - Faye Wilcoxson Allen, 91, died Sunday, Aug.
24, 2003.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in
Panhandle Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Fuller, pastor of
First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in
Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors
of Borger.
Mrs. Allen was born March 2, 1912, in Benjamin. She
married John Nugent Allen on Jan. 6, 1929, in Turkey.
Survivors include a son, Aubrey Earl Allen and wife,
Billie, of Lynnville, Tenn.; a daughter, Bonnie Chambless
and husband, Bill, of Horseshoe Bay; two sisters, Bernice
Byrd of Amarillo and Martha Phillips of Dallas; seven
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
