Obituaries - Peter Ray McInnes and William Arthur McInnes

My father was William Arthur McInnes. He was born near Okarche, Oklahoma, September 16, 1899. His father was Peter Ray McInnes and his mother was Augusta Amelia Jorns.

Peter Ray McInnes's parents were James McInnes and Mary Ann Rae. He was born 11 August 1861 in Cambusethan, Scotland. He was 4 years old when his family moved to Massillon, Stark Co., OH. He and his brothers, John McInnes and William McInnes came to Arkansas to work in the coal mines. John and Peter moved on to Oklahoma. John McInnes died in Lehigh, Oklahoma and William died in Hartford, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.

Prior to working in the coal mines in Arkansas the brothers went to California to look for gold.
