Mrs Lee N. Burner, 72 pioneer resident of Skeleton Township, passed away Saturday morning at her home on south Cheyenne Ave. after a prolonged illness. She was laid to rest in Lyon Valley Cemetery only a few miles from the old homestead.

Julia A. Millis, daughter of WM E. and Eliza Millis was born March 6th, 1877 in Clark Co., IL. There she grew to womanhood and on January 6, 1895, she was united in marriage to Lee N. Burner. To this union nine children were born, six sons and three daughters. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1907, purchasing a farm nine miles east of Hennessey, which was the family home for many years.

Mrs. Burner lived, loved, and labored with, and for her family until health would permit her no longer to carry on the duties of farm live. She, with her husband moved into Hennessey in 1945, four years before death. These years were a failing health and she endured a lingering illness, surrounded by loved ones who gave her every attention and care possible.

When loving hearts, tender hands and medical science had done all that was possible, she was called to rest at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Mrs. Burner was converted in childhood and joined the Methodist Church. After coming to Oklahoma, she placed her membership with the Christian Union at Union Chapel where she was faithful in attendance and her prayers and testimony will be long remembered by loved ones and friends.

She leaves to mourn her faithful husband, Lee N. Burner, of the home, her beloved children, three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Yeoman of Dover, Mrs. Eunice Wilson of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Juanita Williams of Marshall, six sons, Ray of Hennessey, Ralph of Belle Plains, Kansas, Bliss of Enid, Russell of Tulsa, Frank of Houston, Texas and LeRoy of Fort Worth, Texas, one sister, Mrs. Edna Hamilton of Hennessey, one brother, C.W.
