Old settlers supplied the information that 87 Union soldiers and 53 Confederate soldiers are here buried. The names are not given.

One large monument, bearing the following:
"In memory of The Confederates who fell in Lone Jack Battle, August 16, 1862."

Jackson, James A., d: Sept. 3, 1882; age: 72 years, 9 months, 3 days

Owen, John, husband of G. E. Owen, b: May 29, 1832, d: Aug. 25, 1862

Riggs, George A., b: 1846, d: 1928
Riggs, Jennie, wife of George A. Riggs, b: 1852, d: 1922
