Harland E. Igou Sr., 71, Independence, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Park Lane Medical Center. 

Mr. Igou was born May 13, 1927, in Butler, Mo. He had worked for Delco Battery Co. and the General Motors Corp., and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Igou. 

His survivors include two sons, Harland E. Igou Jr., Independence, and David E. Igou Sr., Kansas City; four daughters, Barbara J. Bush, Sugar Creek, Sandra Godfrey, Independence, Diana Igou, Kansas City, and Nova Sue James, Moore, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers, David H. Igou, Colorado Springs, Paul Igou, Wisconsin, Ray Igou, Independence, H. Gene Igou, Caplinger Mills, Mo., and Virgil Jones, Stockton, Mo.; and one sister, Elaine Bough, Ozark, Mo.

WILLETTA N. "BILLIE" CAMPBELL 

Willetta N. "Billie" Campbell, 84, Lee's Summit, formerly of Independence, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at her home. 

Mrs. Campbell was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Weir, Kan., and had lived in Independence for many years, moving to John Knox Village in Lee's Summit four years ago. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 40 years, where she served as deacon and elder. She was also a member of the Heritage Club at Standard State Bank from 1986 to 1988, served as an election judge for Jackson County for more than 10 years, and had been active in the Boys Scouts and Girls Scouts. Her husband, Robert G. Wilson, died in 1994. 

Her survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Campbell Jr. and Ann Mehling Campbell, New Providence, N.J.; one daughter, Diane Campbell Sher, Unversity City, Mo.; one sister, Nellie Batt, Winfield, Kan.; and two granddaughters, Meaghan Elizabeth Campbell and Patricia Kathleen Campbell. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the George C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel.

RAY E. RUTLEDGE 

Ray Edward Rutledge, 78, Independence, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at the Independence Regional Health Center. 

Mr. Rutledge was born in Princeton, Mo., and lived in Princeton until moving to Independence in 1954. He was a department manager for Harriman Lumber Co. from 1954 until 1987. Most recently, he worked in the sales department at Cash Bargain Lumber Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in India and Burma, and was a former councilman for the city of Princeton. He was a member and deacon of the Englewood Assembly of God Church, a church school superintendent for 22 years, a secretary of the church board for 14 years, and was one of the original founders of the Englewood Christian School. 

His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Violet Rutledge of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Ray and Thelma Rutledge, Salinas, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Claude Cowan, Independence; one brother, James Rutledge, Sedalia, Mo.; two sisters, Margaret Black, Little Rock, Ark., and Gale Crawford, Wallowa, Ore.; three grandchildren, Ben and Jon Rutledge, and Shaunna Davis; and two great-grandsons, J.C. and John.

DAVID E. FARRELL 

David Earnest Farrell, 73, Lee's Summit, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at the John Knox Village Care Center, Lee's Summit. 

Mr. Farrell was born in Wilderville, Ore. He retired from TWA after 18 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, and an elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

His survivors include his wife, Ruby; three daughters, Vickie Ramirez, Yvonne Kramer and Valerie Coffey; four grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.

DONNA L. KUHN 

Donna L. Kuhn, 64, Independence, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at the Medical Center of Independence. 

Mrs. Kuhn was born in Independence and was a lifelong area resident. For the past six years she had been employed in the Jackson County Office of Child Support Prosecution. She was a member of the Mount Washington Baptist Church. 

Her survivors include her husband of 46 years, George Kuhn of the home; a son, Michael Kuhn, Independence; two daughters, Sharon M. Mullinix, Holt, Mo., and Sharon M. Mullinix, Independence; her father, Norval Browning, Independence; a brother, David Browning, Independence; a sister, Beverly Cunningham, Santee, Calif.; and a grandson, Brandon Mullinix.

RICHARD T. HALE 

Richard Thomas Hale, 59, Amsterdam, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City. 

Mr. Hale was born in Independence and had lived in LaCygne, Kan., before moving to Amsterdam in 1992. He attended Fairmount Grade School and graduated in 1957 from VanHorn High School. He had worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad before working as a foreman for Kansas City Power and Light at the LaCygne Station. 

His survivors include his wife, Leona Hale of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard T. and Shirley Hale, Ottawa, Kan., and Adam A. Hale, Amsterdam; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Raymond Beckman, Garnett, Kan.; his parents, Garlon and Mayvella Hale, Independence; a brother, Phillip Martin Hale, Lee's Summit; a sister, Faye Arlene Denman, Grain Valley; four grandchildren, Justin Ray Beckman, Garrett Richard Beckman, Haley Lynn Beckman and Abby Lynn Hale.

JOHN C. KEELING 

John Calvin Keeling, 72, Bakersfield, Calif., formerly of the Kansas City area, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. 

He was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Kansas City. A 1996 graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary, he pastored Church of the Brethren congregations in Tucson, Ariz., Bakersfield, Hutchinson, Kan., and Empire, Calif., for more than 30 years. Before entering the ministry, he was a carpenter in Kansas City for 13 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Wesley Keeling in 1969. 

His survivors include his wife of 48 years, Thelma Louise Keeling, Bakersfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin Montgomery "Monty" and Christine Keeling, Goshen, Ind., and John Richard and Janelle Keeling, Bakersfield; three sisters, Catherine Guyer, Beulah Norton and Elizabeth Baysinger, all of Independence; and grandchildren, Christel Gross, Erica Keeling, Nathan Keeling, Matthew Keeling, Katherine Keeling, Richard Keeling and Elizabeth Keeling.

Jack L. Small, 63, Independence, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at his home. 

Mr. Small was born March 18, 1935, in Pittsburg, Kan., and had lived in In-dependence and the Independence area for most of his life. He was a graduate of William Chrisman High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had worked for Reliance Printing and the Herald Publishing House before starting his own business, Arrow Printing, in 1963. He retired in 1997. He was a member and priest of the South Crysler Restoration Branch of Independence. 

His survivors include his wife, Kathleen Small of the home; a son and daugther-in-law, Jeffrey A. and Gail Small, two daughters and sons-in-law, Janna A. and Paul Willis and Angela K. and Gregory Porter, all of Independence; five brothers, James J. Small, Plattsburg, Mo., Gerald M. Small, Chance R. Small, and Donald D. Small, all of Independence, and Kenneth L. Small, Blue Springs; and five grandchildren, Zachary, Mallory and Madison Willis and Alexandria Porter and Matthew Small.

Ernestine F. Murphy, 92, Independence, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at the Medical Center of Independence. 

Mrs. Murphy was born Feb. 3, 1906, in Springfield, Mo., and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bud" Murphy, and a daughter, Cynthia Schieffer.

FRED L. TIGNOR 

Fred L. Tignor, 85, Independence, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, in the Rosewood Health Center. 

He was born Dec. 4, 1913, in Independence. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Tignor was an electronics technican for the Navy for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held the priesthood office of elder. 

He is survived by his wife, Doris Tignor, of the home; son Stephen Tignor, Escondido, Calif; sister Grace Thompson, Independence; and two grandchildren, Drakos McGuire and Marina Tignor. 

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date in California. The family suggests contributions to the RLDS Temple Endowment Fund or Outreach International.

GEORGE C. HANSON 

George C. Hanson, 80, Marietta, Ga., formerly of Independence, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998. 

A native of McLeansboro, Ill., Mr. Hanson spent his early childhood in Florida. He moved to Independence in 1932. He was a graduate of William Chrisman High School and a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Hanson retired from Amoco Oil Corp. in 1978 after more than 36 years of service. He moved to Cobb County, Ga., in 1988. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Hanson, of Marietta; two daughters, Margaret Ann Hanson, Blue Ridge, Ga. and Linda Conyers, Marietta; two sons, Douglas Hanson, Wichita, Kan., and Bruce Hanson, Blue Ridge, Ga.; one sister, Laura Ferree, Raytown; and three grandchildren.

MILDRED L. CLARK 

Mildred L. Whitehead Clark, 88, Raytown, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at the Park Place Care Center, Raytown. 

Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Nashua, Mo., and had lived in the Independence/Blue Springs area until moving to Raytown 24 years ago. She worked in the parcel post department of the downtown Jones Store Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Mount Washington Baptist Church and various senior citizens clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clark on Dec. 24, 1965. 

Her survivors include a son, Jim Clark, Raytown; two grandsons, Jimmy Clark and Mike Clark; and a granddaughter, Mary Shaw; and five great-grandchildren.

Russell Luther Green, 90, Pleasant Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, in the Pleasant Hill Health Care Center. 

He was born Nov. 20, 1908, in Blue Springs. 

He was a member of the Holden (Mo.) Methodist Church. 

Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Gertrude Green; daughters Jane Robertson and Janest Schryer; sister Gladys Dove; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

LOYD A. DAILEY 

Loyd A. Dailey, 84, Independence, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, in the Independence Health Center. 

Mr. Dailey was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Winona, Mo. He moved to Kansas City in 1940, where he began driving trolley cars, and later buses, for the Kansas City Transit Authority. He continued in that capacity until his retirement in 1974. 

He was a member of the Sycamore Hills Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Edith L. Dailey, of the home; a daughter, LaDonna K. Bedsworth, Independence; three brothers, Howard Dailey, Springfield, Mo.; Raymond Daily and Sherman Dailey, both of Winona; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Services will be 3 p.m Monday, Dec. 21, in the Newcomer Floral Hills Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
