Volunteer Revolutionary War Soldiers From North Carolina, compiled & published by Carol Leonard Snow, 102 pp, 4727 entries.  (CLS)

The Civil War and Yadkin County, North Carolina, by Frances H. Casstevens, contains a list of about 1200 Yadkin County men (many were born when the area was Surry County) who were in the CSA, CSN, militia and Homeguard. Many of those names also included dates of birth/death, place of burial, parentage, and names of spouse and children. It has some original letters, and chapters on the Shootout at the Bond School House and Stoneman's Raid.  (FHC)
