Otto Fred
& Ella Myrtle Lindenman
Otto Fred was born April 8,
1890 and died October 5, 1892 of meningitis, being 2
years, 6 months and 1 week old. Only 12 days later
little Ella Myrtle was laid by his side. She was born
August 7, 1881 and died October 27, 1892 of typhoid
fever, being 11 years, 2 months and 10 days old at
the time of her death.
Oh, how hard it is to part with the dear little ones
at that sweet tender age. They were both unusually
bright for their years and Mertied had such a sweet
disposition. I know it was so hard to give them up;
but oh, how often our fondest hopes are blighted
here. Our hearts go out in the tenderest sympathy to
the dear bereaved ones, while we know their loss will
be hard to bear and they will be greatly missed. Yet
they will be far better off then they could possibly
be here in this world of temptation and sin; and it
will only be just a little while till we shall meet
them again. May God help us bear up under these
afflictions.
