RECORDS LOCATIONS
County clerks were required to register births and deaths from 1883 to 1893. Records still existent can be obtained from the county clerk or the Missouri State Archives, 1001 Industrial Drive, P.O. Box 778, Jefferson City, MO 65102. State registration of births and deaths began in 1863, but did not reach full compliance until 1911. The records after 1910 can be obtained from the Bureau of Vital Records, P.O. Box 570, Jefferson City, MO 65102. To verify current fees for birth records, call (314) 751-6387.

1886 CALDWELL AND LIVINGSTON COUNTIES HISTORY BOOK
Higginson Book Company, 148 Washington Street, Dept. P., Salem, MA 01970 has reprinted the "History
of Caldwell and Livingston Counties, Missouri, Including a History of their Townships, Towns and Villages", 1886. It is $119.50 + $5.00 for shipping. Book #MO0022. This book was first published in 1886. This new 1,275 page reprint is a facsimile edition, hardbound in high quality buckram with the title stamped on the spine in gold. It was in the Advocate, July 8, 1998.
